Profile:
I opened my firm in 1990 focussed primarily on high-end custom residential work in the Detroit metropolitan area. While this comprises the body of my work, I have also practiced with a few notable firms in the Detroit area. I sometimes partner with my brother in law, Mike Johnson who has built a number of my more notable homes. Together we work out special details and collaborate on designs for higher end clients. Mike was a former U of D architectural student who decided to pursue a career as a custom homebuilder. Mikes attention to detail and design is impeccable.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 1983, and Master of Architecture from U of M in 1985 specializing in design theory. I passed the Architectural Licensing Exam in 1990, and received the Document Technologist Certification in 1994 from the Construction Specifications Institute located in Virginia.
Mike Johnson has been a licensed and fully insured contractor building homes in Michigan for the past 20 years.
